Maryann's Final Resting Place, Westminster CemeteryOn

On November 9, 2010 I went to Westminster Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, PA to see if I could locate Maryann Mitchell's grave based on information her cousin Al Jarvis gave me.

I did find the grave and was stunned to find that the site had recently been opened.

Maryann is buried next to her maternal grandmother Anna Mazan.

Someone had placed a single carnation on the headstone.

It appeared as if "gifts" had been moved to the rear of the tombstone for the recent burial.

This Guardian Angel statue was on the grave.  I cannot help but think that the angel was left to watch over 19 year old Piotr Mazan and 16 year old Maryann Mitchell.

In the last photo below please note that one of the buses on
Rt 61 in 1959 was Trolley Bus "TB" 101.
